Now that summer reservations are trickling in, my mind is shifting back to getting ready for the warmer days ahead. It's always a good way to survive the cold days we have in January - imagining yourself in the June is a comfort somehow. Projects are many, but today we took the plunge with our guest rooms, emptying the Trout room and cracking the first can of paint. Its yet to be determined if we'll pick a different color for each room. Picking out one color was a stress in itself!
The decisions that come with decorating can be overwhelming at times. We want the rooms to feel calm and restful. At the same time, we want the rooms to be fun and to take advantage of all the great Yellowstone antiques that we've collected over the years. Its all a bit much to balance...but the paint is always the first step. It's nice to have moved forward; even if its just one coat at a time.
