I'm very passionate about travel and, to date, my favorite place to visit is France. I love the culture, the access to the most amazing works of art and architecture and especially the FOOD - the produce, the markets, the bakeries, the cooking stores with rows and rows of copper cookware and fluted tart tins - I can get lost happily just wandering in any small village or Parisian neighborhood. My most recent trip in November sent me home with lots of inspiration for the coming summer season...look for it on the breakfast table come May!
Part of the reason I love France is that it is very different from where I live every day. Here we have to work a lot harder to get local and fresh produce - especially in February. The options available in France are endless.
The video features one of my favorite baking writers and bloggers - Dorie Greenspan. Do check out her blog - its a place I visit daily.his amazing bakery. It's an inspiration!
And, if you feel like a little mental vacation, make a batch of these cookies yourself. These will definitely be a permanent part of our cookie plate. And, on this rainy afternoon, it'll be just the vacation I need!
